Glass Microfiber Filters also known as Disc Membrane Filters are designed to remove accumulation of deposits and residue and coarse particulate from air. Glass Microfiber Filters with binder are mainly used in applications such as air pollution monitoring and can be used as pre-filters for membranes and commonly used as a part of toxicity characteristic leaching procedure. Pre-filtration before membrane filtration of biopharmaceutical, liquids (different beverages) and suspended solids (variety of food) substances are another frequent way of using Glass Membrane Filter. They are mainly used for fine particle retention, when increased strength is required.

In addition, Glass Fiber Filters with binder combine fast flow rates with high loading capacity and the retention of very fine particles, extending into the sub-micron range and increasing air monitoring applications.

Glass Microfiber Filters with inorganic binder can be used at temperatures up to 500ºC (organic binder up to 180ºC) and are suitable for use in applications involving air filtration.
