Frequently Asked Questions

The Nasco B01310WA Swing Sampler is designed for collecting liquid samples from hard-to-reach locations, such as streams, wastewater channels, reservoirs, or industrial tanks. The swinging bottle mechanism allows users to obtain representative samples without entering the water or disturbing the sampling area.

This sampler features an adjustable fiberglass pole that extends from approximately 6 ft to 12 ft (1.83–3.66 m), allowing users to safely collect samples from a distance or from steep banks and elevated platforms.

The sampler typically includes a 960 mL polyethylene sample bottle secured with a snapper ring and holder. The system is designed to hold bottles in the approximately 1 L range, providing adequate capacity for most environmental sampling procedures.

The end of the sampler pivots up to about 90°, allowing the bottle to swing into position and collect samples at different angles. This design makes it easier to obtain samples from flowing water, sewer channels, or other locations where direct vertical sampling is difficult.

Swing samplers are widely used in environmental monitoring, water quality testing, wastewater treatment facilities, food and dairy testing, and industrial quality control where safe and reliable liquid sampling from a distance is required.
