The Whatman Polycap TF 75 capsule filter is designed for in-line filtration of liquids, gases, and aggressive solvents in laboratory and industrial processes. Its PTFE membrane provides strong chemical resistance, making it suitable for filtering organic solvents, air streams, and chemically harsh solutions.

A 0.2 µm pore size is commonly used for fine particle removal and sterilizing filtration of liquids. It can effectively remove bacteria, particulates, and other microscopic contaminants, helping laboratories produce cleaner samples for analytical testing and research workflows.

This filter uses a hydrophobic PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) membrane housed in a polypropylene capsule. The combination provides excellent chemical compatibility and durability, allowing the filter to handle aggressive solvents and demanding laboratory conditions.

The filter features MNPT (Male National Pipe Thread) inlet and outlet connections, allowing it to be easily integrated into laboratory tubing or filtration systems. Threaded connections help create secure, leak-resistant installations in inline filtration setups.

Polycap TF capsule filters can be autoclaved at around 121 °C for approximately 20 minutes, which allows sterilization for certain applications. However, they are generally used as disposable filters to maintain consistent performance and reduce contamination risk in critical filtration tasks.
