Advantec DISMIC syringe filters are designed for sample clarification and preparation before laboratory analysis. They are widely used in applications such as HPLC sample preparation, environmental testing, microbiology workflows, and routine laboratory filtration of aqueous solutions.

This filter uses a mixed cellulose ester (MCE) membrane, which is hydrophilic and highly porous. MCE membranes provide fast flow rates and effective particle retention, making them suitable for general-purpose filtration of water-based samples.

The 0.45 µm pore size is commonly used to remove fine particulates and microorganisms from liquid samples while maintaining good filtration speed. This pore size is widely used for routine laboratory filtration and pre-filtration before analytical instruments.

A 25 mm syringe filter is typically recommended for sample volumes up to about 100 mL. The larger filtration area compared with smaller syringe filters allows for faster flow rates and improved filtration efficiency.

These filters feature standard Luer-lock inlet and Luer-slip outlet connections, allowing them to attach easily to most laboratory syringes and filtration setups used for sample preparation and liquid clarification.
