How does the multi-range weighing system work on the HV-200KCWP?

The HV-200KCWP automatically provides different resolutions as the load increases. Its three ranges are 150 lb × 0.05 lb, 300 lb × 0.1 lb, and 500 lb × 0.2 lb. This multi-range design provides finer increments for lighter loads while still allowing the same scale to handle items weighing up to 500 lb. In metric units, the ranges are 60 kg × 0.02 kg, 150 kg × 0.05 kg, and 220 kg × 0.1 kg.

Can the HV-200KCWP be used in washdown or wet processing environments?

Yes. The HV-200KCWP has an IP65 dust- and water-protection rating and features a stainless-steel display housing and weighing pan. This construction makes it suitable for food processing, packaging, production, receiving, and other environments where equipment may be exposed to moisture, dust, spills, or routine washdown cleaning. IP65 does not mean the scale is designed for complete submersion.

How do the 5-step comparator lights help with checkweighing?

The HV-200KCWP features bright 5-step LED comparator lights that provide an immediate visual indication of how a measured item compares with preset weight limits. This helps operators quickly identify products that are under, within, or over the desired weight range. A&D also provides a 10-digit keypad and comparator memory, making the system particularly useful for repetitive filling, portioning, packaging, sorting, and quality-control applications.

Can the HV-200KCWP connect to a computer or external production equipment?

Yes. A&D offers optional bi-directional USB and RS-232C communication interfaces for the HV-200KCWP. A comparator relay output/buzzer interface is also available for compatible control applications. Importantly, A&D states that the HV-CWP series can maintain its IP65 protection even when these optional communication interfaces are installed, which is useful for data collection and process integration in washdown environments.
