DSC Benchkote Specimen Absorbent Pads (DSC-2300-1000) are the perfect solution for safely transporting specimen samples or protecting your laboratory surfaces from dangerous spills.

The benchkote material is composed of two strong functional layers. The first is an absorbent Whatman paper that quickly traps a liquid spill. The second is a laminated and impermeable polyethylene layer that prevents leakage. Together, these high-quality layers are very sturdy and resistant to tearing, whether wet or dry. Either side can be written upon by pen or pencil. The pads comply with the DOT and all regulations pertaining to proper specimen transport and disposal after use. DSC-2300-1000 is an equivalent alternative to Fisher 22-130-039, Therapak 10300, and VWR 89170-926.

Features:

• Material is very strong, making it tear resistant when wet or dry.
• Smooth white surface can be written on with ink or pencil and lies flat.
• Suitable for saturation with disinfectant to protect benches where pathogens and other bacteria are present.
• Use polyethylene side up to collect deposits without absorption.
• Paper side quickly absorbs liquid spills, preventing liquids from going through to the work surface.
• Spillages are trapped in the absorbent paper.
• Benchkote can be incinerated after use; the polyethylene layer does not melt or drip but is rapidly consumed in the flames.
