To perform fat tests, the HFT-1000FP requires disposable aluminum testing dishes (typically 9.0 cm in diameter). These consumables hold the sample during analysis and must be replaced periodically.

This unit is optimized for raw, unprocessed ground meat samples. Processed products with additives or frozen samples may not yield accurate results unless properly prepared — defrosted and uniformly ground — as they can affect consistency and the way fat is measured.
