Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the OHAUS V71P3T Valor 7000 scale a reliable choice for portioning and weighing tasks?

The Valor 7000 delivers fast, repeatable results with a 6 lb (3 kg) capacity and 0.1 g readability, stabilizing measurements in about one second. Its dual backlit displays allow both the operator and customer to see results clearly, and its robust stainless steel platform and ABS housing are built for daily use in food processing, retail, production, or laboratory environments.

What features help improve workflow and efficiency with this scale?

This model includes touchless infrared sensors that let users perform tare, zero, and print functions without touching buttons — reducing contamination risk and speeding up repetitive weighing tasks. It also offers checkweighing LED lights (green/yellow/red) to easily guide operators in portion control or sorting applications.

Can this scale be used without direct AC power?

Yes — the Valor 7000 includes a rechargeable internal battery that can provide up to 210 hours of continuous use per charge, making it ideal for portable or remote weighing needs when a power outlet isn’t readily available.

Does the Valor 7000 support data output and connectivity for printing or tracking?

Yes — the Valor 7000 comes with a standard RS-232 communication port for connection to printers or data systems. Additional connectivity options such as USB, Ethernet, or a second RS-232 port can be added with optional accessories, letting you integrate the scale into larger data capture systems or quality control processes.
