Description

Improve Efficiency by Processing up to 50 Samples at a Time
Multi-Tube Vortexers are ideal for high throughput sample processing. Interchangeable foam racks for vortexing tubes from 10 to 29 mm in diameter available. Vortexing action is created by securing the top of the sample in place while allowing the bottom to rotate freely in a 3.6mm orbit. Suction cup feet reduce motion and prevent sliding on work surface. Analog & digital models, both microprocessor-controlled and run in continuous or timed mode. Click here for Mastering Vortex Mixing: Techniques and Tips for Optimal Laboratory

Frequently Asked Questions

The Ohaus VXMTAL is designed for laboratories that need to mix multiple samples simultaneously without manual intervention. It is commonly used for DNA and RNA extraction workflows, sample preparation, reagent mixing, cell suspensions, clinical testing, and quality control procedures where consistent vortexing across large sample batches improves efficiency and reproducibility.

The VXMTAL can accommodate up to 50 tubes simultaneously when equipped with the appropriate foam rack. Interchangeable rack options support a variety of tube diameters, allowing laboratories to customize the system for microtubes, culture tubes, centrifuge tubes, and other commonly used laboratory vessels.

Yes. The VXMTAL features analog variable speed control that allows users to adjust vortexing intensity based on sample type and protocol requirements. This flexibility helps users perform everything from gentle sample agitation to vigorous mixing for difficult-to-resuspend materials.

Unlike single-tube vortex mixers that require continuous operator involvement, the VXMTAL provides hands-free operation for multiple samples at once. This allows laboratory personnel to perform other tasks while samples are mixing, helping reduce processing time and increase throughput in busy laboratory environments.

Yes. The VXMTAL is built with a rugged metal housing, continuous-duty motor, and heavy-duty support system designed for daily laboratory operation. Strong suction cup feet help maintain stability during high-speed vortexing, while the durable construction supports long-term reliability in research, pharmaceutical, clinical, and industrial laboratories.
