The Pall 4552TC Acrodisc syringe filter is designed for sample clarification and filtration of organic solvents, gases, and aggressive chemicals before analysis. These filters are commonly used in HPLC, UHPLC, and other analytical workflows to remove particulate contamination and protect sensitive instruments from damage.

PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) membranes offer excellent chemical resistance and solvent compatibility, making them ideal for filtering harsh organic solvents, strong acids, and other chemicals that could damage other membrane materials. Because PTFE is hydrophobic, it is typically used for solvent filtration or gas venting applications rather than aqueous solutions.

The 13 mm Acrodisc syringe filter format is designed for sample volumes up to approximately 10 mL, making it suitable for small-volume laboratory filtration tasks such as vial preparation or analytical sample cleanup before chromatography analysis.
