Pall Acrodisc® syringe filters with Supor® membrane are single-use laboratory filters that remove particulates from liquids by pushing the sample through a membrane. They help clarify solutions before analysis or prevent particulates from reaching sensitive equipment.

The Supor® (polyethersulfone, PES) membrane is hydrophilic with low protein binding, providing high flow rates, broad pH compatibility, and minimal sample loss, making it excellent for biological buffers, culture media, and other aqueous samples.

A 5 micrometer pore size indicates that the filter retains particles larger than ~5 µm. This pore size is typically used for pre-filtration and coarse particulate removal, helping protect downstream filters, instruments, or analytical systems.

To use, attach the syringe filter to a standard luer-lock syringe, draw your liquid into the syringe, then push the liquid through the filter into a clean container. The membrane traps particles while letting the filtrate pass through.
