PALL 66386 Versapor Acrylic Copolymer 3000 Membrane Disc Filter, 3 µm - 25 mm (100/pkg)

These disc filters are commonly used for prefiltration of difficult-to-filter solutions, serum, and other liquids to reduce particulate load before final filtration steps and to protect downstream filters from clogging.

A 3-micrometer pore size allows the filter to retain particles larger than ~3 µm while letting finer liquid components pass through, making it suitable for general suspended solids removal and pre-clarification tasks.

The filter media is an acrylic copolymer on a non-woven support, giving the membrane high tensile strength and flexibility whether the filter is wet or dry. This construction also supports excellent throughput at low pressure differentials.

These filters are non-sterile when supplied, but can be UV or gamma sterilized if needed for sensitive applications. However, they are typically considered single-use consumables rather than reusable.

Versapor acrylic copolymer filters offer less clogging and higher strength than glass microfiber in many pre-filtration applications, making them a robust alternative when higher liquid flow and mechanical durability are desired.
