This device is designed for rapid concentration, purification, and buffer exchange of biological samples such as proteins, antibodies, nucleic acids, and viruses. It is widely used in research labs and biopharmaceutical workflows for sample preparation.

The unit is optimized for sample volumes from approximately 2 mL up to 15 mL in swing-bucket rotors, and around 11 mL in fixed-angle rotors, fitting standard 50 mL centrifuge tubes.

A 10 kDa molecular weight cutoff (MWCO) means the membrane retains molecules larger than about 10,000 Daltons while allowing smaller molecules and solvents to pass through. This makes it ideal for concentrating relatively small proteins and biomolecules.

The device uses tangential flow filtration (TFF) combined with twin vertical membranes, which reduces fouling and significantly increases filtration speed. This design allows faster concentration and efficient processing even for difficult samples.
