The Whatman™ GD/X sterile, Polyvinylidene Difluoride (PVDF) membrane syringe filters are designed to enable the filtration of viscous, hard-to-filter samples greater than 10 mL. Each unit contains a prefiltration stack of Whatman multigrade glass microfiber (GMF) and Glass fiber (GF/F) filters. The combination of this pre-filtration stack and filter housing design enables you to filter highly particular loaded samples.

Reduces need for multiple syringe filters by processing three to seven times more sample volume than syringe filters without prefilters
Female luer lock for leak-free connections
High-efficiency Whatman GMF 150 and GF/F pre-filter media
Eliminates or greatly reduces the need to carry out separate prefiltration step for difficult-to-filter samples

Cytiva's GD/X sterile syringe filter is suitable for preparing viscous, dense, or otherwise hard-to-filter samples prior to a variety of analytical methods.

Polyvinylidene Difluoride (PVDF) membranes

Polyvinylidene Difluoride membrane is a suitable choice for most HPLC sample preparation applications. The membrane is hydrophilic with low water breakthrough values. It offers good chemical resistance to all common HPLC solvents, has low protein binding and negligible extractables.

ISCC+ certified Biobased polypropylene housing (25mm devices):

90% Biobased plastic resin.
Biobased plastic resin is ISCC Plus certified using Mass Balance approach.
The polypropylene accounts for 95% of the weight/composition of the syringe filters.
