Yes. In addition to standard weighing, the EK-300AEP provides a counting mode with Automatic Counting Accuracy Improvement (ACAI) as well as percent weighing and comparator functions. The counting function supports sample sizes of 5, 10, 25, 50, or 100 pieces and a maximum displayed count of up to 30,000 pieces, making the balance useful for inventory, packaging, filling, and production applications.

Can the EK-300AEP transfer weighing data from a hazardous area?

Yes. A&D designed the EK-300AEP with an optical connector for data output. When used with the optional optical fiber cable and AD-1611 optical communication adapter, weighing data can be communicated without relying on a conventional electrical data connection at the balance. This can be particularly useful when electronic weighing records are required in hazardous-location workflows.
