The A&D GC-3K is designed for fast inventory and parts counting in warehouses, manufacturing plants, assembly areas, stockrooms, packaging departments, and distribution facilities. With a 3 kg (approximately 6 lb) capacity and 0.5 g readability, it is especially useful for counting lightweight components such as fasteners, washers, electronic parts, connectors, fittings, hardware, and other consistently sized items.

The GC-3K offers two selectable minimum unit-weight settings. In Normal Mode, the minimum unit weight is 0.1 g, while Fine Mode lowers it to 0.005 g (5 mg). The scale also incorporates A&D's Automatic Counting Accuracy Improvement (ACAI) technology, which refines the calculated average unit weight as additional samples are added, helping improve counting accuracy for repetitive parts-counting jobs.

The GC-3K can store information for up to 1,000 items in its internal memory, making it convenient for businesses that repeatedly count many different SKUs or components. Its Automatic Item Search (AIS) function helps operators locate previously stored unit weights quickly, and memory capacity can be expanded with a MicroSD card when additional storage is needed.

Yes. The GC-3K includes a standard RS-232C interface and supports digital connection with compatible A&D balances and scales. This can be particularly useful when a higher-resolution balance is needed to establish the unit weight of extremely small components before performing bulk counting on the GC-3K. A&D also provides WinCT-Counting software for managing item data from a computer, while optional AD-8561 Multi-Interfaces can expand connectivity.

The GC-3K combines three reverse-backlit LCD displays for count, total weight, and unit weight with a separate OLED information display that assists operators during setup and operation. It also provides accumulation, comparator/check-counting with highly visible LED indicators and a buzzer, adjustable response characteristics, selectable sample quantities, password/key locks, and approximately 1.6-second stabilization at default settings. These features can reduce manual counting time and make repetitive inventory, kitting, and packaging tasks more efficient.
